Care and Cleaning
Kallisto Suncatchers are intended for indoor use or dry outdoor spaces. The wood is stained and sealed to protect it from the elements. The metal is not treated or painted. If exposed to rain or water for long periods of time, the metal will naturally deteriorate. However, I have several hanging under our covered deck (dry) year round and there is no change to the original quality.
Cleaning: Place one hand behind the charms, on the back side of the frame to steady the charms. Then use a duster or wide, dry paint brush to lightly dab/dust each charm with care.
Keep out of reach of small children. Each charm is secured for display, bumps, wind and curious taps with your fingers. With that being said, every small child I know has a super-hero grip when reaching for bright sparkling things. There is a choking hazard if charms are removed from the frame.
